Founded in Zug in 2004, iflow AG is the leading Swiss provider of services and software tools for the analysis and digitization of the business processes of small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs). Their platform operates as a highly secure data storage that allows clients to optimize, streamline, and automate their processes.
In 2016 iflow AG decided to grow their business with mobile apps and hired Brightgrove to develop both iOS and Android versions.
To accomplish iflow’s strategic targets, Brightgrove had to complete the following tasks:
• Develop iOS and Android mobile apps from scratch.
• Cover the customer’s needs in DevOps expertise.
• Make the existing architecture more scalable and optimized.
• Improve the customer’s back-end side.
Handling the recruitment, hiring, and onboarding processes since 2016, Brightgrove handpicked and vetted 1 middle QA engineer, 1 senior iOS developer, and 1 senior Android developer. This initial team was responsible for the creation of mobile apps and their full-cycle support based on the Time and Material business model.
Taking care of all legal aspects and payroll management, we provided the team with comfortable office space and workstations.
In 2018, as the customer’s business grew significantly, they faced the need to upgrade their software architecture and move the product onto a more modern tech stack. Therefore, in 35 working days, our Recruitment Department found a senior Java DevOps engineer with extensive working experience.
To help iflow’s business grow, Brightgrove completed the following tasks:
• Our team built and launched fully functional iOS and Android apps from scratch. The main challenging feature to implement was a WWPass zero-trust multi-factor authentication and client-side data encryption technology.
• The DevOps expert helped to update and optimize the customer’s Monolithic Architecture, making it more scalable. He moved all software to up-to-date versions of the tech stack and integrated new technologies like Docker container service.
• Having strong Java skills, our DevOps expert also improved the customer’s back-end side by re-coding it in the latest Java language version.
Brightgrove offered a reasonable price and had resources available to start any time we were ready. The planning and administrative work was efficient and professional.

Our dedicated team continues to provide iflow AG with support for the existing solutions and keeps developing and updating its products. Our specialists have worked as an extension of iflow’s business for more than 2 years. The customer fully manages and controls the team, and its members maintain the scheduled communication process on a monthly basis or upon request.
The team operates based on two business models—full-time and Time and Material. DevOps follows the Kandan development methodology, and Time and Material experts develop based on Scrum. Thanks to our corporate HR strategy, we’ve retained all of our team members.
Thanks to the quality of the Android and iOS apps developed by our team, iflow expanded their outreach in the European market. Due to our secure and stable architectural solutions in the back-end side, iflow keeps increasing their market share compared to previous years.
